February 27, 2002 // 7:03 p.m. // Grammy's!

In honor of the Grammy's, lets get to my predictions!

Rookie of The Year (Best new artist)

Will win: Alicia Keys

Should win: Alicia Keys.

No one set the world on fire like Keys. I'm pulling for Furtado, but Linkin Park also had a stellar year.

Diiiiiivarific! (Best Female Pop Vocal)

Will win: Furtado.

Should win: Sade. Greatest song you've never heard. Period.

Record of Year

Will win: Keys, "Fallin'"

Should Win: Keys, "Fallin"

Keys should (if not sweep) win at least 5 awards. Plus, they never vote for rap, so OutKast (despite a great album) has no chance. And Train's song has been playing since last February.

The Biggie! (Album of the Year)

Will win: U2. Possibly India Aire.

Should win: Bob Dylan.

Note: So, Keys is up for everything but album of the year? Someone just got robbed.

Song of the year

Will win: Keys, "Fallin'".

Should win: Nelly Furtado."I'm Like A Bird."

Note: Anyone hear .Aire's "Video" on the radio? I didn't think so.

QUICKIES!

Rock Performance.Weak crop sees Dave Matthews Band beating U2.

Rock Song Of Year: Same crop as above, but U2 takes it for "Elevation".

If these are televised, Keys wins R&B album as should Jay-Z for "Blueprint." It'll go to OutKast though, also a great album.

Phew! Just beat the buzzer.

You mean there's an award show being shown around the U2 performance? Well, that's even better!
