September 19, 2002 // 6:57 p.m. // And you thought your day felt long
Sixteen games of bowling. Do you realize how long it takes to bowl sixteen games? Come to think of it, not that long with only one person on each lane bowling at the same time. Today, it felt longer. Perhaps it was the fact that the televison wasn't on to give us inventive stories such as alien invasions in the West Desert, mountain fires or a series of breaking news stories, each interrupting the one that came before it. Today, all we had was the idea of if a pin is left wobbling as if in a drunken stupor long after all of the others have stopped, we'd call it a, "Hot Rod." We received a bonus day to complete our quiz, and what do I do? Forget to buy the book. This is getting ridiculous. I had all morning to do so, and never did. Not to mention the fact that our very informal and opinonated paper that will be the easiest paper we write all semester was thrown together in seconds. Movie Star, Pop Star and Morality have an excellent start. I don't even have a topic that interests me. I have some serious catching up to do this weekend. Procrastination never pays off.
