July 25, 2002 // 10:54 p.m. // Cellular business

Just after 11 last night, I went to 7-11 to get a drink, and in the rush to pull my wallet out of my pocket (it was in the same pocket as my cell phone) I set my phone down and left it there. Two hours later after we called it a night, I realized this, visualized when I set it on the counter, and called it:

"Hello?"

"Hello."

"Who is this?"

"Jason. Did I leave my cell phone at the 7-11?"

"Yes you did."

"Alright, I'll be right up to pick it up."

"Sounds good."

"Bye."

For two hours, my phone was unaccounted for. I went to a park, a grocery store and drove around for hours, all while my phone was on/behind the counter at the store. When I did retrieve it, I joked with and thanked the cashier, and headed back home. Because of this, I didn't get to bed until two this morning, which led to me napping this afternoon.

The weekend crew is leaving about...now to Vegas on the first leg of their trip to California. There are more than a few reasons why I didn't want to go even if I were able. More than a few. But as it stands now, I'll be sans the weekend crew this weekend, which will be a refreshing change of pace again.

And that mini crisis I had earlier? Solved. I'm 0-2 on those 'I have a bad feeling something is wrong' feelings, and I'm so glad I am. This one had the potential to really change me.

And as is the case with me, I have a million things running through my head, least of all the above situation, from past crushes to why I'd rather do my own thing than what the group wants, to why I dislike hearing questions from some people, but welcome them from others.

And I guess I should also point out that I once again have a song running through my head that doesn't apply to me as much as I once thought it did. But I'm somehow applying it to a long-time crush.

To quote a different ex-crush, "wouldn't you like to know?
