December 10, 2001 // 10:53 a.m. // Not *that* Jason Taylor. The other one.
While at Jiffy Lube last week, I encountered something I had only encountered once before. 15-20 minutes after my car went in, the guy came in to call to someone that their car was ready. "Taylor." I started to get up at the same time as another lady. "Jason." This time I knew it was me. To my surprise, she also stood up. We exchanged glances before looking over at the man in the door. "What kind of car is it?" she asked. "A Dodge Stratus." It was the car she had brought in for her husband. I paid for my oil change, and the guy commented how weird it was that two Jason Taylor's were in the shop at the same time. "At least you can say you know someone else who has your name." My first and last name aren't that uncommon. I'm surprised that the only other place I've encountered a Jason Taylor is the dentist's office where a patient shares my name. I only know of two others. One is the football player shown below and the other is a soccer player in Australia. Have any of you ever met someone with the same first and last name as you? Jason
