March 18, 2002 // 9:01 p.m. // Perfect girl

My sister surprised me, and decided to take it upon herself to get me a date via a Yahoo! personals website. After searching through tens of girls who either smoked, drank, had kids, had been divorced or were too old or too young or honestly, not attractive, she came up with this girl to which my only response was: in my dreams. Her exact words about this girl were, "(in a sweet 'how cute' kind of voice) Ohhhhhh. J, she's a hottie. (in the same breath and very matter-of-factly) Her eyes are shaped a little bit funny."

Her description reminds me of one of those male magazines where the model (or playmate) seems to describe so many things that she likes that would appeal to the common man to make her more appealing. Open minded and a very goofy sense of humor? Guy with great communication skills? Very slow at first to get to know each other? Computers and web design? A romantic who is open minded and goofy as well? Non-religious person, searching for the same?

Of course, all girls I've known that have looked like this go out and party every weekend and enjoy embarrassing and belittling the uncool guys who ask them out. Basically the mean and fake popular girls in every teen movie ever made.

But if all she says is true, I think I may have just found the perfect girl.
