I'll just quote from the site: Ten Wayland Academy graduates of the class of 2001 have been named AP Scholars by the College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the college-level AP Examinations. Only 13 percent of the more than 840,000 students nationwide who took AP Examinations in May performed at a sufficiently high level to merit such recognition. The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on the number of year-long courses and exams. At Wayland, four students qualified for the AP Scholar4 with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken and grades of three or higher on five or more of these exams. And of course T.E.N.T. is one of those four students. One of the cream of the crop. It's all making sense now. This was by far the smartest decision she ever made. It probably got her a full (or at least partial) scholarship for college. Her whole family is bright (well, except her older sister. The jury's still out on her.) but her parents cannot afford to send them all to college. Even had she gone to a regular high school here, she would have never received the benefits of going to school in Wisconsin. Perhaps the worst part of this isn't realizing that I was stupid to not realize what was going on in her head. But the fact that I was upset that she was leaving in the middle of a huge disagreement with me, and the choice she made was right. I hate it when I realize she's right. Last time on Apexsensatin : Now on Apex : Apex Archives : Next time on ApexsensatinSo for some reason, I type in T.E.N.T.'s name in a Yahoo! search, and I come up with only one result that gives me the official website of the school she went to in Wisconsin for two years.
